CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 Edge has its fair share of problems, but chief among them is an annoying “door ajar†warning light that won’t shut off even when the door is most definitely closed. While the retina-burning, ever-present false reminder on your dashboard is bad, it points to a deeper problem that can drain the battery, leave the doors unlocked while in motion, or render the key fob useless.

Had a very loud popping noise in my steering at low speeds. Took it to the shop and they replaced the front struts, including the strut mounts. However, 3 days later the sound was back. They replaced the struts again. Again, 2 days later, the sound was back. This time, they only replaced the strut mounts themselves instead of the entire strut and used a different brand. Apparently this strut mount issue is pretty common with the Ford Edge and Explorer of this time frame, and I suppose the replacement parts they used were just not great quality. Definitely a headache. I'm a little over a week in since the last time it was in the shop, no noise so far...
