In a crash involving a front end collision where a truck turned left striking our Edge in the front left, the air bags did not deploy. We were traveling about 25 mph and the other vehicle at about 15-20 mph. My wife suffered a fractured leg and I back issues. The crash was severe enough to total the vehicle. Purchased a car from : platinum auto group, Inc. 29300 goddard rd. Romulus, mi 48174 phone- 313-205-4844 platinum auto specializes in buying, repairing and selling wrecked rebuilt used cars.the car had been in an accident and was repaired as we were told we took the car to get looked over after we received it. Our Ford mechanic advised us the passenger air bag had not been properly fixed and that he was not sure if it would operate properly and if it would, even if it would be safe. The hole in the dash caused by the previous accident had been patched with a rubber floor mat and not to Ford motor specs. When we confronted the dealer about the patch job we were told it was " a custom made air bag cover, we use them all the time" he said. Dealer finally agreed to repair air bag as well as other items on the car. We got the run around for several months, dealer told us they would fix it and never have. We now have a car that we can't drive as it is not safe and will not pass Nebraska safety inspection as it sits. I have pictures of the dash for review. I would like to be contacted by your Agency as to a resolution.

For about 3 days the message kept coming on that the front passenger airbag was not working. The on/off light said off about 98% of the time. And a icon light in the dashboard would occasionally come on. The message said the sensor was blocked, but there wasn't any change in the area around the seat. Went to service the 2/19 and they said they could not find anything wrong. It actually turned back on when I drove in to drop it at service, of course. But we did go about 3 days with no airbag for some reason. Just felt I should report this before it becomes a problem.
