CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 Edge has its fair share of problems, but chief among them is an annoying “door ajar†warning light that won’t shut off even when the door is most definitely closed. While the retina-burning, ever-present false reminder on your dashboard is bad, it points to a deeper problem that can drain the battery, leave the doors unlocked while in motion, or render the key fob useless.

Car parked Saturday evening , no problems. All systems totally dead on Sunday Morning. Only working elements were Horn and power drivers seat. Couldn't even release shift lever from park to be able to tow.
Tow driver had to disconnect shift linkage to be able to move the car. This car has less than 43,000 miles . Dealer diagnosis says body control module had a software lockup(?) . The cost of this repair for a car this new and only mildly out of warranty was horrible.
