CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 Edge has its fair share of problems, but chief among them is an annoying “door ajar†warning light that won’t shut off even when the door is most definitely closed. While the retina-burning, ever-present false reminder on your dashboard is bad, it points to a deeper problem that can drain the battery, leave the doors unlocked while in motion, or render the key fob useless.

Since April (2 months after having vehicle serviced and yearly inspection) a loud grinding noise when I brake. Sounds like it's coming from the rear. Took it in to dealer and they could not replicate the noise, of course. Said they put it up on the rack and looked at the brakes and said the brakes are at 75% so they're sure it's not the brakes. As soon as I got it home the next day the noise came back. It's so loud that other drivers in a car next to me can hear it because I get weird looks sometimes. This is really annoying but also scary not knowing if your brakes are going to go out at any minute.
