CarComplaints.com Notes: A frustrating electrical issue is causing an ever-present “door ajar” warning light for 2011-2013 Ford Edge owners. Even with the doors latched shut, faulty sensors convince the vehicle’s computer they aren’t. With no way to override the system, owners have no choice but to stare at the warning light, listen to the warning chimes when the car is stopped, and deal with interior lights that won’t shut off.

The contact owns 2012 Ford Edge. The contact stated that when the air conditioning unit was activated, there was a white, powdery substance being emitted from the ventilation. The vehicle was taken to the dealer at least five times but they were unable to identify the substance. In addition, they could not provide a diagnosis for the failure. The vehicle was then taken to another dealer who inspected and cleaned the air conditioning unit however, the failure recurred the following day. The manufacturer was notified by email but the contact had not yet received a response. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 13,000.
