CarComplaints.com Notes: A frustrating electrical issue is causing an ever-present “door ajar†warning light for 2011-2013 Ford Edge owners. Even with the doors latched shut, faulty sensors convince the vehicle’s computer they aren’t. With no way to override the system, owners have no choice but to stare at the warning light, listen to the warning chimes when the car is stopped, and deal with interior lights that won’t shut off.

This noise was reported in June to the VanDrunen Ford . They said it was the brakes, paid $700 ish for brake job with rotors, went back as brakes were failing after repair. THEN they finally looked at the recall for the brake booster only AFTER I GAVE THEM A COPY OF THE RECALL. I told them the noise at braking did not sound like the brakes. NOW i am having whining noise, and difficulty steering. Just saw the TSB on the power steering, the noises I reported in June are the same as on this forum. OF course, I am now no longer under warranty.
Will be taking car in tomorrow. Apparently being a 65 year old women who is NOT a mechanic makes it even harder to get service people to really pay attention to what I am saying. I shouldn't have to find the solutions myself when the problem is known by Ford!
