CarComplaints.com Notes: A frustrating electrical issue is causing an ever-present “door ajar†warning light for 2011-2013 Ford Edge owners. Even with the doors latched shut, faulty sensors convince the vehicle’s computer they aren’t. With no way to override the system, owners have no choice but to stare at the warning light, listen to the warning chimes when the car is stopped, and deal with interior lights that won’t shut off.
About three days after I purchased my car I was sitting in my garage waiting for my garage door to go up when I heard a noise. When I went to see what it was my lift gate door had open when my garage door did and damaged my brand new car. The dealer had to send it to the body shop for repairs and two yrs later it still does the same thing even after multiple trips to the dealership. Not sure it's been happening since the day I purchased it. Some times when I am out shopping I will come outside and see my liftgate up. I have had many other problem with this car, too many to write about.
