The driver door sensor is not working correctly. The driver door ajar notification remains on once the door is closed, and the interior light will not turn off. I also cannot lock my doors. I end up driving with the interior light on because it will not go out. At night time, this is especially dangerous, not to mention it drains the battery by staying on when not being driven. When I exit the car and shut the door, it takes me up to five minutes sometimes to open and re-shut the door to eventually get the sensor to register and the light to go off. It's ridiculous and frustrating. I hope that this issue will lead to a recall because I have seen a lot of complaints about it. My car just hit 62K miles. I saw others having the same issue at the same mileage.

Takata recall the driver's side door latch does not work properly causing the alarm to go off unexpectedly, as well as "door ajar" displayed when you get into the vehicle and close the door. Manually flipping the switch up with fingers sometimes works, but not reliable and seems to be a concern for driving down the interstate hearing air coming in because the door isn't securely latched. This needs to be addressed by Ford as it seems to be an engineering error.

Also, the door can not be locked. On a much more serious note, the dome light suddenly come on while I'm driving on the highway. This creates a very dangerous situation because I'm unable to see cars around me very well. I went to the Ford dealership in Feb, 2015 and fixed it once. However, this happens again recently. I really think Ford should address this issue!

The door ajar light stays on when all doors are closed and the interior lights stay on. Also I was not able to open the car with the security code from the outside the car I had to use the key. I was park when I first notice the passcode was not working then I used the key I closed all the doors and still said one door was open, so I make sure all were close. I realize there was something wrong so I just drove the car like that. Also I just bought the car so I don't know if that has happened before.

Driver side front door sensor incorrectly senses door is open when it is actually closed causing the inability to lock any of the vehicles doors. Dome light remains on when driving. The inability to lock any of the doors is a serious safety concern since it could enable anyone to gain access to the interior of the car and the driver has no way to lock them out.
