CarComplaints.com Notes: A frustrating electrical issue is causing an ever-present “door ajar†warning light for 2011-2013 Ford Edge owners. Even with the doors latched shut, faulty sensors convince the vehicle’s computer they aren’t. With no way to override the system, owners have no choice but to stare at the warning light, listen to the warning chimes when the car is stopped, and deal with interior lights that won’t shut off.

Wipers won't shut off, they randomly turn on even while driving on sunny days. Anti-lock brake system acts up, but sensor doesn't detect that there's an issue with it. Causes problems stopping when acting up. No warning lights come on to show that there's anything wrong, just can't really stop.
The -??Vista-?? sunroof on my car is stuck open. This allows rain to come into my car providing hazardous driving conditions. The Ford dealer wants $4000 to repair & $500 to close. I-??ve asked Ford several times for a detailed breakdown of costs, they have not provided anything to date.
When I turn on my front wipers they stay on. No matter what. They almost have a mix of their own. They won't turn off. Even F I turn my car off then back on they stay on. I feel like it's more of a distraction when it's not raining having them on.
While driving on a city road (approx 40 mph) the rear window made a popping sound and shattered. A hole emerged on the driver side. It looks like the window pushed out and there is no evidence that anything hit the window.
The driver's door light ajar sensor stays on even after the door is shut and keeps the interior dome light on. This has been happening on and on again off again basis for years. Recently it is happening all the time. When we get in and start the car no matter how many times the door is opened and shut the notice stays on. This will then continue as long as the car is in reverse and makes backing up at night very hard as you can't see with the interior lights on. When backing from the driveway into the street you cannot see if there is traffic. When the car is put in drive the dome light will finally go out after a short period of time. If we park the car and lock it the dome light will stay on for 5 or more minutes as it registers as the front door being ajar. Neighbors have stopped at our home to tell us we left our interior lights on.

My wiper blades go will go off about every 5-10 seconds and know is in off position. My vehicle can be in park or in motion and still the same. I've twisted the know on and off and still they will not turn off. Started about 3 weeks ago and still going
My 2011 Ford Edge my touch screen went black. I was away from home and with a black screen I am unable to set temp of heat or air, or control/my window defroster/fogger.
Interior lighting stays on when in park or driving because of door switch malfunction saying door is ajar when it is in fact closed creates driving hazard when lights will not turn off and glaring off windshield making driving at night dangers please make a recall and fix this issue.
Car was operated in cold weather on Monday 12/28 and the rear defroster was activated. Car sat in garage from 12/28 evening thru 12/30 afternoon. Sometime after 10:00 pm on the 29th Dec, the rear window exploded. Vehicle was stationary in the garage
Wipers have a mind of their own coming on when ever they want to and run on intermittent. You could start the car and the wipers start. During love bug season smearing love bug guts all over the window. Causing a distraction, not only to you but to other drivers. Trying to fiddle with the wiper control trying to get it to stop. I took the car to nick nicholas Ford in crystal river fl on 8-26-15 am. They said they looked at it and there was nothing wrong. Drove to work and at 11:00 am on 8-26-15 it started again and about every 35 seconds they wipe across the dry windshield. I checked on the internet and others are having the same problem.
The driver side door latch not working properly indicates the door is opened when it is closed. There for the dome light stays on till the car reaches 20 miles per hour or about a city block witch makes it hard to drive and cover the dome light at night so U can see out the windshield so not to be blinded by the light.
The door ajar warning light will not go off even if the door is closed, which makes the interior lights stay on while driving which is a hazard at night time, creates low visibility, hard to see the road. Also the doors lock and unlock sporadically because of the malfunctioning sensor. Several people I know with the same vehicle have had the same problem with theirs. Seems like Ford is cashing in on the $600 repair to fix the malfunctioning light.... at the drivers expense, monetary expenses and safety expenses. Not ok.
