Edge SEL 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 107,000 miles

I experienced the same jerking/deceleration/clunk while accelerating from a stop light. The first time it happened I thought it was unusual & worried something was wrong with the transmission. It has happened a handful of times now since I bought it a year ago. Seems to always happen from being stopped & accelerating slowly. It's very annoying & cause for concern!

Edge Limited V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 45,000 miles

I was stopped at a mail drop box, still in drive but at a stop. When I began to accelerate, I felt a jerk (in the car and the pedal) and heard a clunk sound. I thought maybe I had hit a pothole or something in the parking lot, until it happened again today. Same type of scenario, at a stop light, still in drive...when I went to accelerate there was a jerk and knock type of sound. This immediately goes away and does not happen when switching in higher gears or at higher speeds but definitely noticeable and concerning. I have the extended warranty on this vehicle and will be getting it looked at..will update with the fix.
