I have only had Edge since 2017 and I purchased it out right and I am noticing some things that are not right. Hard to stop and wobbling wheel on front driver side and makes like a rubbing noise. Brakes on it our wearing out alot faster and I have already had a blowout on highway on that tire and they had to tow it and it cost me almost $500 to get it out and its tread is getting worn down alot faster as well. I seen on here that there is a spindle issue?

I received a letter from Ford about Nov/Dec 2017 advising me of the recall issues for my vehicle. I have not been able to speak to a Ford customer service rep, and my dealer nor the finance company know what to do. I received a more recent letter from Ford with options and stating that the parts required are still not available. I need to speak to someone because I am afraid of all the recall issues surrounding my vehicle. I keep the maintenance up on my vehicle but I have been experiencing safety issues while driving, like my vehicle threatens to stop for no apparent reason while I'm driving it. I can't afford to continually pay for repairs or even just be without my vehicle because I'm the only income for my family!

Edge

  • 4,020 miles
The contact owns a 2009 Ford Edge. The contact stated that the suspension was faulty and the brakes failed. When she depressed the brake pedal at 8 mph, she heard a loud grinding noise and the vehicle would not stop. If the ABS had not engaged, she would have been unable to stop completely. The dealer test drove the vehicle and could not find any failures. The contact informed them that the suspension needed to be repaired first and then the vehicle should be test driven at over 40 mph in order to duplicate the failure. The dealer informed the contact not to bring the vehicle back. The failure mileage was 4,020.
