Tail/rake light bulbs continue to overheat causing socket to melt to bulb. The tail light housing is now showing signs of excessive heat where the socket turns into the lens assembly. Bulb then blows because of excess heat. I have changed the bulbs 3 times in a month. 3 Ford dealerships in my area have never heard of this problem and the car is currently in the shop and dealership is trying to determine the cause of the failure. Ford dealership says the voltage is within range unless there is a periodic spike and they are unable to detect that. There is an obvious issue by reading various posts online however nobody is showing what was done to take care of the problem. Does anyone know a solution since Ford does not.
