We left on a trip for a golf tournament in Pemberton , BC on June 1/2014. The day before I did the usual checks on the Edge, check oil , gas , tires , etc. All fine. Drove to Pemberton stayed there 4 nights. On the 4th night went to Whistler for dinner and on the way back to Pemberton tire low light came on. Stopped at a gas station and checked tires and filled low tire. At the same time checked oil and was fine. Just below full line. Next day went to Merritt all was fine. On Saturday started driving to Summerland. About 30km out of Merritt noticed that the RPMs were creeping up so hit the brake to release cruise and started to slow down. At this time the RPMs decreased then suddenly while I was slowing down the RPM went suddenly up and then everything stopped , engine , power , everything. No warning lights came on the entire time. The first thing I checked was the oil and noticed the oil cap was not hot and nothing smoking. Oil showed on the dipstick but barely. Battery was dead as well. I had a portable charger with me so hooked up to battery and then seemed to have power. Tried to crank engine and only had tick tick. As soon as I took charger off battery all power died again. Called tow and took vehicle to mechanic. He could not crank engine manually and told me no oil in engine. Then towed to Ford dealer another 75 km away. That is where it sits now with no indication of why it happened. Nobody can figure it out. I believe this is a Ford problem but when talked my local dealer they will not do anything because I am 20000km over my warranty. Has anybody else had this problem and I want to know what to do.
