A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

I have had this issue for a while but it has now become increasingly worse and dangerous. I first notices the light on the dash that has the car and lines after it coming on and didn't know what it meant. Then the issue with the brake pressure issue started happening while driving on the highway in traffic in prime driving morning hours. Now it's happened 4 times (4 too many!) that my engine has actually stalled while I was in motion on the highway, pressing on the brakes so hard I didn't know if I was going to be able to stop and not hit several cars, another time I was making a right hand turn and pressed on the brakes lightly as I was turning and it stalled in a row of cars in the same lane!!! And then it stalled again today while driving up a hill and had to stop at a red light and when I tried to stop it stalled. I did not realize until I did this internet search today that there is a large number reports of a power booster failure in certain years of this Ford model.

I searched my VIN # and it was not included in the recall even though I read from others that had the same issue that I'm having now. The brake peddle at times is tough to press, like no play in it while I am trying to stop it is difficult. I have to pump the peddle to get it to work. This is very dangerous and I have read many others having the same experience. I also from reading others issues listened today and heard the hissing noise which I had thought was my a/c but it only happens when I put my foot on the brake. I'm not sure what to do or who to actually take it too that will not charge a fortune and I'm afraid to drive it!!! I can't even imagine if it rains....

I'm not sure I will get in the car until I figure out a solution. I believe that other years for the Ford Edge should be included in the manufacturer's warranty to fix this huge issue - that's unbelievable that they have not made it a recall first of all but the safety factor this tremendous may result in so many law suits, if it is not an automatic given by Ford to include this a no brainier to repair for their customers!!!!

Thanks for listening and if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!!!! I am very concerned but also have to work and cannot take off during the day.
