This Subcompact is 3300lbs and has only a 166hp engine. If the tranny was tweaked where it would let the rpm's go a little higher before upshifting and then make it so the tranny downshifted to the next lower gear instead of downshifting to 1st or passing gear, it would be such a bad drivetrain. This tranny is constantly shifting, the Ford dealer solution is for me to put it in manual shifting (S) and shift it when I want...... my response was that I paid for an automatic tranny and got a piece of crap!
This problem along with the pos auto/stop feature is enough to make you want to trade it on another make and lose thousands of dollars!!!
