My car started to idle rough one evening. No warning lights, no difference in driving. The next day we took down the road and 18 miles from my house the low oil pressure light came on and the vehicle began having a problem accelerating. After having it towed to a dealership near my home that did not help at all. I had an extended warranty that would not cover the diagnostics nor repair because I went over 2000 miles on 1 oil change. I paid for a diagnostic test from the dealership that could not even provide any codes because the tech did not write them down. I had the vehicle towed back home and contacted Ford customer service several times. I was only over the warranty by 700 miles. They would not help. Sorry your on your own is what the last rep I spoke with told me.
The vehicle has now been towed to a local repair shop, engine ordered for replacement for over 6 weeks. I am so frustrated that this industry does not feel any need to show empathy or expedite any repair fir any reason. I have paid the mechanic more than half the repair quite and have to call him to get any updates. The last being the company rebuilding an engine firms car have pushed everything to the end of the month. I can’t wait to hear what’s next. Ford-you were aware of this problem. Shame on your entire company. I have always owned Fords but next vehicle will be a different manufacturer.
