I have been aware of the recall and brought it up the last time I had my car serviced at the dealership. It had to go in 8/7/24 when a sensor was failing and my husband asked about the recall because the oil pressure light had flashed on but went off. When the car was picked up they didn't even check the recall they just stated no concern. A few days later I drove my car about 12 miles and the low oil pressure light came on and didn't go off so I pulled my car into a parking lot.
My husband called the Ford Dealership and they told me to Drive it! I had it towed and they have no idea what they are going to do. The only fix at this point is new engine, but it will still have same old part that can fail. Was told at that point I would only have 12,000 warranty on my engine even though I currently have and extended warranty on my drivetrain. I don't understand this. There was another person at the same dealership waiting on a back ordered engine. The picked up their car. So Ford not only doesn't have the upgraded part they do not have engines either!!!???!?!
