It gave me an engine code saying there was a connection issue but the car was drivable and that i needed to schedule service. No code saying your engine is failing. It was the holidays. Dealers were closing so i figured I'd call and schedule it for service. Never got the chance as it seized up on the interstate at 60mph. Thankfully i was able to safely get it to the emergency lane and then towed to the dealer. They are now saying i need a new engine due to oil pump failure and are refusing to cover the cost. I feel like this is due to there malfunction and they should be responsible.
The check engine light came on with (what Ford Service stated) and emissions error. Then three days later the check engine light came on along with the low oil pressure warning. The car was not accelerating and had stopped completely when driving on Saturday (the day the all the light come on). Did not drive the car until it my appointment with Ford Service on the following Weds. The service tech stated that the teeth if the oil pump were shredded and that I had metal shaving in the engine. The oil pressure was at 3PSI. That was only three days after the car was seen at the shop.
