I test drove the vehicle but I didn't take in on the highway. There is a loud drone at 1500 RPM, two day's later we noticed the problem. I called Gowanda Ford In Gowanda NY. To make a long story short they took the drive shaft and tires off the 2010 I traded in, that didn't work, they rebuilt the rear end, that didn't work. The Ford service tech trouble shooter, Rob Green, had it for a whole day, they said they realigned the engine and exhaust, that didn't work. The last time they had it they put a dampening device on the exhaust from a 97 Mercury, that didn't work. After that they said there was nothing else they could do.
So I put a new muffler on, sound proofed the sides and doors and put very large house clamps around the heat shield to quite the vibration. nothing worked. They said they wouldn't give me my money back but if I wanted to buy a new vehicle they said they would take it in trade.
So I called there sister store Emerling Ford in Springville NY, same story, nothing they could do.
