This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Failure of injectors and internal oil cooler led to immediate engine shut down causing immediate loss of power steering, power brakes, etc. This happened on two separate occasions, (1 while driving on interstate during 8am morning traffic, 2 while towing a 5th wheel rv in heavy afternoon traffic in a construction zone with no shoulder available for me to get off highway). As I often pull rv's to the far West, it greatly concerns me as to what the outcome would be if this happens while on a 6% downgrade in the mountains. I have had three injector failures recently.
Vehicle had a very bad engine oil leak. Sent to woolwine Ford for repair. They failed to repair problem. Sent vehicle to butch ostalet Ford. Ford authorized them to install a new short block and they did. This engine leaks in the same place as the original engine.
