I am French so I will do my best! Ford has put on the market poor design and poor material use for their engines during a certain amount of years ( some models built at the end of the 90's until 2008) that resulted in the blowout of spark plug. The helicoil fix suggested by Ford does not work permanently and redoing the thread is useless since the hole is weak after the first blowout... so the engine head is to be changed to avoid facing the problem again and again... AND even with a new engine installed by Ford this will happen again !!! This is my first incident with that topic, I have to face the same problem after in May 2014 with the same truck.
WHEN THE SPARK PLUG BLOWOUT HAPPENED IN THE 2 EVENTS A STRONG SMELL OF BURN OCCUR AND FUME CAME OUT OF THE HOOD FOR A SHORT PERIOD INDICATING TO ME A POSSIBLE FIRE HAZARD.
