This has been the 3rd time I have had to have a sensor replaced, I understand from other motorhome owners of Ford that they have had numerous warning lights of ABS warning and have had to have their sensors replaced Ford knows about this situation and has not done asnything about replacing them with a heany duty sensor, it is a small cost item but if you cannot do the work yourself it is very costly as labor at $80 per hour mounts up, could you please see if Ford has a tsb covering these sensors.

After I purchased my motor home the ABS warning light came on and I took it to the Ford people for warranty work they done some thing to it and it stopped for a while then it happened aagain for a toal of 30 times 4 of those times I took it to Ford to be repaired underwarranty and it would stop for a while now that it is out of warranty and still happening I contacted numerous other owners on the rv open forum board and they have all had the same thing happen when are you going to recall this item and make Ford fix it?it is pretty scary to be going down a hill and have that light come on, but taking it to Ford does not seem to be the fix we need. Anti lock brake system experienced continued problems, possible design flaw of location in mounting of the unit, mounting is on the frame near exhaust heat factor, possible restriction to the system, not allowing the fluid to return from the calipers to the master cylinder (resulting in overheating and failure of multiple brake system component replacements). ABS brake system would regularly fail without warning in a sporadic manner and the ABS warning light would come on. However during brake failure vehicle would result in loss of control and poor stopping performance. The "memory module" could possibly be the cause of failure.
Approximately 30,000 miles owner began having intermittent ABS warning light illuminating which means brakes are operating wiithout assisted power to prevent lockup.
