The contact owns a 2014 Ford E-250. While driving various speeds and depressing the brake pedal, a snapping sound was heard coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the front driver side inner brake pad had separated. The brake pad was replaced and the vehicle operated normally. The local dealer (basil Ford, 1540 walden ave, cheektowaga, NY) was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 24,000.
