While traveling when the engine is in 3rd gear or higher, a quick acceleration results in stuttering and reduction of power. The check engine light flashes during this time and lasts between 30 seconds and a minute. Once the light quits flashing the engine seems to run normal. I can reproduce this at will it seems, with a quick press of the gas pedal.
wrench light came on and the truck stalled at a high rate
I was going about 50 mph brakes a little seeing a deer, the wrench light came on and the engine shut off. I had to pull over and wait a minute to get it to restart. Apparently this is an on going issue according to this site as a lot of people have had the same thing happen.
I am disappointed and angry enough to discard the truck if I can. I will be going to the dealership this weekend to report the failures (3). The first time was when I was driving on Anthony Henday going south. Just before reaching exit on 50 st. the engine started stuttering, lights went off and it stalled. I barely had enough time to pull to the side from a speed of 60 km/hour to zero in a few seconds. I turned the engine off and waited for a a few seconds and turned it back on. It started and ran smoothly until three months later. The same thing happened again on Spruce Grove road at about 15,000 km. The latest happened three days ago on 137 ave. I have had it and will not keep quiet any more.
