The contact owns a 1997 Ford E-150. The contact stated that the fuel line was fractured and rapidly leaking gasoline fuel. The contact was informed of a potential recall on the vehicle by his independent mechanic (NHTSA campaign id number: 01V114000) but was advised by the manufacturer that his VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 71,289.
Upon filling the gas tank there is external gas leakage.the gas runs back out onto the ground. Consumer repaired it. 1 1/2 inch diameter hose at the top of the fuel tank cracked.
