I have a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria. Was going to cut off one road to another. When I applied the brakes to slow down, the car accelerated full throttle, could not turn off. Went past turn off with brake peddle pressed hard as I could. About 25 to 50 ft. it went to normal idle. Did the same thing about 20 min. later at a stop light. Went through light. Got it stopped on other side of light, went back to normal. Lucky there wasn't any cars in the way. I called local dealer service dept. He said he had never had it reported before. If it wasn't doing it all the time, he did not know what to do. I got on internet and there was many other people this happened to. Different Ford auto's & trucks.
