Another one, very common for what ive heard . It started with a smell of oil in the rear end, took it to the mechanic and seal bearing was replaced but didint fix the problem. Rear end died in the middle of an intersetion. Kind of annoying having to push the car out of the way. The not so bad side is that several models and trims share the same rear end so theyre relatevely easy to find. At least the 273 gear fits, even thou373 is what i needed. Most mechanics wont have a problem swaping the thing. One problem : if your car uses a different gear ratio , the little wrench light will come up in the instrument cluster, and thats because computer detects a different speed in the tires that in the transmission shaft.
