Ford ought to be able to build a better axle system, The mechanic said he had a bulletin from ford on these problems, so they knew of this. There was still plenty of oil in the differential at the time. I contacted Ford and was told that i should have taken the car to a ford dealer. They couldn't get to the job because it was on a weekend, and i had to be back home in Bandera TX the next day. This took place in Midland TX. This could have been a real problem with my five grand children in the car if a wheel had come off or locked up going down I-10. I have had two more people in Bandera tell me that they had the same problem one had a wheel come off. Ford ought to be responsible for some of the cost. With no more miles that i had on the car
