Fuel tanks safety kits being offered to the public. Mr the consumer was told there would be charged for having the kit installed. The consumer believed the kit and the installation should be free for the general public not just police officers vehicles.
Modification of gas tanks on police Crown Victoria's but not on civilian Crown Victoria's. the consumer stated that Ford did not modify the part and placed the same defective part in the new models.
2000 Ford Crown Victoria Ford refused to install the protective package to my cars fuel tank area because it is not a police car. I expressed my concern regarding safety due to fires and deaths of police officers, but they said no civilians killed yet. I did not feel safe driving the car any more and sold it as loss.
