Engine: 302 CID TBI.
This car only has 30,400 original miles on it and has been well kept.
The car kept cutting out, no sputter, no faltering, it just stopped. At first I thought it was the coil, but but now I think it's in the fuel system, but I'm not sure. In order to get it to start, I have to turn the key, and hold it until the engine catches, and give it plenty of fuel while doing so. I'm also smelling raw fuel when I do this. I have to keep slight pressure on the throttle at stop lights in order to keep it from stalling out. Near as I can figure, it's a fuel system problem, but I have no idea if I'm right, and since the only dealer here has a rep for overcharging, and "finding" problems, I want to know what to tell them before I take it in. HELP!
