Question regarding how a similar make, model and year vehicle with the identical problem is not included in a recall. The consumer was referring to recall #98V233000.
Recall 98 V 233 000/shift level damage: Shift level is not correctly indicating actual gear, consumer contacted dealer, and informed consumer that vehicle was not covered under recall due to VIN.
Shift lever does not show the proper gear that the car is in. Dealership has informed consumer that recall 98V233000 does not affect this vehicle. Please provide any additional information / attachments.
Floor shift lever broke. Indicator showing drive/reverse, etc., failed to work properly. Very hard to shift into park. Took to dealer to check cause & was informed no recalls on vehicle. Driver cannot tell if vehicle is in drive or reverse.
Recall 98S26. Floor lever is not correctly indicating in which gear the vehicle is in. Plastic piece around lever has cracked. Dealer contacted and states vehicle does not comply to recall. Problem still exists. Provide further information.
