The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to Ford of montebello (2747 via campo, montebello, ca 9064 (323) 838-6920) to be serviced per NHTSA campaign number: 16V643000 (latches/locks/linkages). Several days later, the contact noticed that the seat belt indicator failed to illuminate while driving various speeds. The front driver side and/or front passenger side seat belts were unlatched. The vehicle was not taken to an independent mechanic or dealer for diagnostic testing of the seat belt warning failure. The manufacturer was also not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 56,114.

The contact received a notification for NHTSA campaign number: 14V597000 (air bags, seat belts); however, the parts needed to do the repair was still not available. The contact felt the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
From park, sudden forward acceleration and hit wall, I hit the steering column, no braking, car reversed from impact, still could not change gears, pulled emergency brake and car stopped, engine still revving up, pushed button and it stopped.
