Driver's door failed to latch, thankfully happening in the driveway before leaving one day. I was able to drive it to the dealer, even though the door wanted to swing open on every turn, no matter how slowly taken. Obviously if this issue had happened on the road it could have caused injury to either myself, passengers, pedestrians, or cause property damage to other vehicles. I was charged in excess of $400 to replace the door latch, as my vehicle is a used purchase and not under warranty. Now that this issue has recently risen to the level of an official recall I feel like I deserve a refund for an obvious manufacturer defect.
