Because this design is flawed, there is no way these won't break off eventually. We noticed that this port door was "shifting" over time and became difficult to get it shut after some time, but then it simply just fell off. We took it into a local Ford dealership and discovered that the part comes in black only, which is weird because most Fords are painted white, then they have to paint it, then it needs to be installed, which would cost over $500.00 to complete. But had Ford used a tried-and-true port cover, instead of this spin and flip design, it wouldn't had broken at all, or at least highly unlikely. This needs to be fixed on their dime, not ours.
