2024 Escape/Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with 1.5L engines should not be taken out of transport mode before customer delivery to reduce the risk of various driving performance concerns such as: rough operation, idle quality, engine misfires, lack or loss of engine power. These conditions may occur due to carbon fouled spark plugs from repeated engine ignition starts without driving the vehicle to normal operation temperatures 179ðF-206ðF (82ðC-97ðC) during cold weather. Make sure that the vehicles in stock are in transport mode before customer delivery. Refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 419-10 Malfunction Electronic Modules > General Procedures.
