On Monday [XXX], I was driving my vehicle home when I received the following error messages while driving: -pre collision assist not available -service advancetrac -check park aid -service vehicle soon -front camera fault service required -front camera fault service required -shift sys fault service required I was able to make it home and got my car towed to Washington Ford (Washington, PA) the next day. Ok Wednesday [XXX], I received the following message from Washington ford -?? Your vehicle is done and ready to pick up. The concern was related to a reprogram of the power steering control module. --Andrea Baumgardner Washington Ford-?? I picked up the vehicle on Wednesday. On Thursday night, I was driving home after 12am when I received all the same above error messages that I noted as well as losing power steering and control of all my lights (headlights, turn signals, hazard lights). I had the car towed again the next day back to Washington Ford. Since then they have not been able to duplicate the problem and that there-??s nothing more they can do. I was told -??my vehicle is ready to pick up-?? but couldn-??t guarantee it was safe to drive In April of 2024, Ford recalled 456,000 Ford broncos for -?? because the vehicles may fail to detect a low battery charge, which could lead to a loss of engine and electrical power while driving.-?? Which is the exact issue I had with my vehicle two times in 3 days, however my vehicles VIN wasn-??t included in that recalled. On May 13th, 2024 expanded the recall and my vehicle was included this time. I was told there was no remedy for the recall at this time and they were expecting a new update on May 29th, 2024 but in the meantime they are not offering me a rental car and told me my only option is to get a rental car myself if I feel that the car is unsafe to drive. I can not afford a rental car. So my only option ford leaves me is to drive a vehicle that they can not guarantee is safe to drive since they aren-??t able to duplicate INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INF

The contact's wife owns a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated while his wife was driving and making a left or a right turn, the steering wheel locked inadvertently. The contact stated that while forcefully turning the steering wheel, the steering wheel made an abnormally loud grinding sound. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the failure had been recurring intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where an unknown repair was performed; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to Ford Campaign Number: 23S09; however, the vehicle was not covered under the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 9,000.

The noise was able to be heard, and seems to be an issue with a few bronco sports on their lot. The dealer noted -??operating normally-??

There is a repeating clicking noise (click, click, click-??) every time I turn the steering wheel. It only occurs when it-??s above 90 degrees Fahrenheit outside. Any problem related to the steering, or turning of the vehicle is a safety concern in my opinion. Ford forces the owner to make a service appointment to get the problem inspected (I could not just drive to a dealership). The earliest I could schedule an appointment at one of the three nearest dealerships to me is a week from the day I-??m writing this complaint. So I guess I can either keep driving the vehicle in the unsafe condition, or get a rental on my own dime. There are no warning lights or trouble codes related to the issue, and the vehicle only has 3,500 miles on it. I-??ve owned it for two months ?-??-?'?.
