On [XXX] I began my drive from Miami, FL to SF, CA for my next travel nurse assignment. Three hours into my drive, I stop for gas and return to the highway. I remember accelerating to catch up to traffic and moving into the left lane. Then I remember abruptly seeing brake lights ahead, braking hard, and the collision warning system going off. I was braking for several seconds and it became clear to me that I was going to crash into the vehicle in front of me. Immediately upon impact, my Bronco Sport caught fire. I felt the heat. I smelled the fire and fumes. I saw people running towards me, yelling for me to get out of my burning car. The airbag went off and I sustained minor injury to my right hand. At that point, my priority was to locate my cat inside my perfectly packed vehicle with all of my most important possessions. I grabbed my cat, my phone, and my purse and escaped as flames overtook my SUV. The Nissan Rouge in front of me sustained some rear bumper damage but overall relatively minor exterior damages. I am in awe that what should have been a minor collision turned into escaping a burning car with my cat and watching my everything burn away. I struggle with PTSD from the accident. The Bronco was well-maintained. I had the recall repaired, along with oil change and tire rotation in November, prior to driving from Southern California to my home in Miami in early December. The vehicle was deemed a total loss by the insurance company. The insurance company did not choose to pursue any investigation on why this happened. I-??ve tried to find answers and have not been successful. The Ford dealership where I purchased the Bronco has been less than helpful and even normalized that this happens sometimes. Four months later and I-??m still waiting to get refunded for all the extra extended warranties that I bought for a vehicle that I planned on having for a long time. My car lost power on the highway. I took it to the dealership. They had the vehicle for 2 months and said it was repaired under warranty/recall. The same day that I received the car back, the same problem occurred. They kept it for a few days and said they could not determine the issue and released it back to me yesterday. This morning, it lost power again, while i was taking a left hand turn into oncoming traffic. I was almost t-boned. There is an huge safety issue here that is being brushed off and I-??m afraid I will end up in a terrible accident.

We got a -??service engine soon-?? warning stating -??the vehicle has detected a concern with the evaporative emissions system-?? and that we need to -??have the vehicle checked by a dealer ASAP-??. With this, the dealership ordered a purge control line. This fixed the check engine light for about a week. Suddenly, we received the same warning and message. This time, the -??Tech said its possible we hit something because under the vehicle the under shield has a hole in and it the canister valve which is what is causing the check engine light on. We cant get the part cover under warranty because of that. You would be looking at $638 not including tax.-?? Nothing was hit that we can note. The -??shield-?? is a piece of felt. If this canister is so important, why have it -??protected-?? by cloth?

Upon receiving the notice that my Ford Bronco Sport was subject to a recall in February 2023, I called my local Ford dealer to schedule a service appointment. The dealer stated that FoMoCo is only supplying dealers with "2 repair kits per week" and that they "could not provide an estimate" on a wait time for getting the repair completed. It is now July 2023 and after reaching out to the dealer twice, they are still unable to provide an estimated wait or schedule an appointment.

Ford failing to address NHTSA recall 22v859. I called Ford dealership in Rising Sun, MD and was told I was out on a waiting list with 40 to 50 vehicles ahead of me and Ford was only sending enough parts to address one or two recalls a week.

I contacted Planet Ford in Dallas repeatedly to get my vehicle booked in for the 22S73 recall. Each time they say they do not get parts from Ford. Today, May 1st 2023 when I contacted them they told me Ford only allows them to order 4 parts for this recall per day and they are booked up until the end of August 2023. I asked them to book me in to get into the waiting list and they told me they are not taking any more bookings at this stage.

The manufacturer (Ford) has failed to remedy the fuel injector safety recall (22S73)in a timely manner. Ford has prioritized repairing it's unsold cars first rather than fixing the safety issue for customers who have already purchased vehicles. Despite receiving a notification in the mail stating that parts are now available, my local dealer has been unable to complete federally mandated repairs due to the parts being on backorder for an unknown time duration.

The driver was on M53 near Armada around 5pm today, July 25, 2022. The owner was driving down the road another vehicle pulled up next to her and told her the vehicle was on fire. The driver was able to exit the vehicle and took the photo (unable to upload photo). Owner called 911 and fire department was able to extinguish the fire.

The wrench icon which refers to the Powertrain system keeps coming on. I received a message from the Ford pass system that there was (Fault) in the Powertrain system. That power was reduced. Further it said to see a dealer right away. All of the Ford Dealers in my area are all booked up.
