Ford TSB #SSM 49901
2021 Ford Bronco Sport
TSB Document:
Affected Component: POWER TRAIN
- Summary
- Some 2021 Bronco Sport vehicles may exhibit a hiss or rattle noise while driving. This may be due to an internal issue with the manual park release cable. Disconnect the cable from the transmission and road-test the vehicle. If the noise is eliminated, reconnect the cable and inform customers that Ford is working on a resolution scheduled for the end of August 2021. In the interim, let the customer know that the vehicle is safe to drive, and schedule a follow-up appointment with the customer for late August. Once the solution becomes available, contact the customer and confirm the service appointment is going forward. Monitor OASIS for updates. Manual park release cable replacement may not correct this concern.
