Very frustrating when you hear of the problems with Broncos in 2021, hear they fixed the problem and seeing the same issues in my 2023. The dealership has new "redesigned" heads and lifters on the way said the service manager. It started ticking March 9th, I took it to the dealership I purchased from, hoping for a new engine, they are doing heads and lifters. Excuse me if I'm wrong, but a ticking noise (they said was a lifter) is a part hitting another part? Possibly producing metal specks in the oil pan? The service manager said this past Friday, the 15th, the parts should be in on the 29th of March. Really, how can they prove there was no significant damage to the internals of the 2.7? Would another engine do the same thing? Did I get a set of 2021 bad lifters in a 2023? I was told by the service manager I could come get it and drive it til the parts came in. NO WAY!!!! Then I was told I could put no more than 500 miles on the loaner escape they gave me to drive. Did they go into the engine to diagnose the problem? If so how am I offered the Bronco to drive til the parts come in? Is this a Bush fix or what? This time frame doesn't include the installation. Seems like once Ford gets the sale, any issues are just put at the end if the line. I will never believe they can't rush in heads and lifters in overnight. So much for the week of spring break in the mountains of Pigeon Forge Tn.
Thanks Ford, should've kept my Rubicon I traded in.
