Ford TSB #SSM 51961
2021 Ford Bronco
TSB Document:
Affected Component: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM)
- Summary
- Some 2021-2023 Bronco vehicles may exhibit an illuminated MIL with DTCs P0096 and/or P007B in the powertrain control module (PCM), which may be more prevalent in high ambient air temperatures. For vehicles that meet this criateria, inspect the front of the vehicle for the presence of an aftermarket bumper and/or accessories which may restrict air flow to the charge air cooler and surrounding sensors. Remove the aftermarket accessory and return the vehicle to stock and reevaluate. If the concern returns with the stock bumper/accessories removed, proceed to normal Workshop Manual diagnostics.
