Ford TSB #SSM 50473
2021 Ford Bronco
TSB Document:
Affected Component: UNKNOWN OR OTHER
- Summary
- 2021-2022 various Ford and Lincoln vehicles may exhibit an erroneous diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U1A01:93 stored in the telematics control unit (TCU). This may be due to various software parameters within the TCU. If this DTC is identified during normal diagnostics, but the vehicle does not exhibit any customer concerns around the TCU operation, clear this DTC and no further repairs are recommended. If the DTC returns after being cleared or if the vehicle exhibits connectivity concerns with the TCU, continue with normal Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostics. If set erroneously, this DTC does not cause any observable concerns or warning messages and does not affect vehicle performance or durability. Ford is developing a software update which will be delivered to the vehicle via an over-the-air (OTA) TCU update in July 2022 to prevent this DTC from setting erroneously.
