Ford TSB #SSM 49979
2021 Ford Bronco
TSB Document:
Affected Component: STRUCTURE:BODY:HOOD:HINGE AND ATTACHMENTS:SUPPORT DEVICE/STRUT
- Summary
- Some 2021 Bronco vehicles equipped with Big Bend and Outer Bank trim levels may exhibit a whistle noise originating from the front of the hood area when traveling at speeds above 30 mph (50 Km/h). If the whistle noise can be eliminated by taping off the gap between the hood and grill opening, this condition may be due to the hood seal design. Hood seal replacement will not resolve this condition. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and Ford is currently working to release an improved seal design that will be available in October 2021. Follow up with the customer to schedule an appointment once OASIS confirms part availability.
