Ford TSB #SSM 49911
2021 Ford Bronco
TSB Document:
Affected Component: EQUIPMENT
- Summary
- Some 2021 Broncos equipped with exterior zone lighting may experience an intermittent single hazard lamp flash when hazards are turned off. This condition is due to a software issue within the vehicles body control module (BCM). This fault is induced anytime a customer activates then deactivates exterior zone lighting lamps while the engine is OFF. This may generate a single hazard lamp flash when the engine is shut off or during an engine auto-start-stop event. Inform customers that this condition can be temporarily corrected by activating then deactivating the exterior zone lighting feature while the engine is running. Engineering is currently working on new software to correct the condition that is expected to be available in October 2021. Let the customer know they can continue to drive the vehicle and schedule a follow-up appointment for repair in November 2021. Monitor OASIS for updates.
