I have had this Bronco for 15 years. I had a vacuum leak, which caused all kinds of problems. Finally found someone to find leak, but now rough shifting, like it started before. The last 3 mechanics told me it was fixed only to drive away and found it was not. However the last "old" guy who works on "antiques" like mine, did get the engine to run right by replacing the distributor ignition switch module. This is $129.49 . With the other repairs, its now $325.41 later, and the thing still rough shifting into all gears. AND God forbid you want to use overdrive....that will keep the thing trying to shift constantly.
All of this still sounds like a vacuum leak! I am very mechanical minded having rebuilt engines when they still HAD "carbs" and you could see the engine.
PLEASE...does anyone know where I might find, or what is wrong with my very treasured Eddie Bauer Bronco. I should mention that I also live on a strict budget (retired) and need this SUV. it is my daily driver.
