Since I've owned this car I have had many issues of going out to use it and having a dead battery. It finally got to the point they couldn't get a full charge on it anymore so I bought a new battery February 2017. It seemed okay for awhile and now it has done it again several times. Only thing is this time after getting the battery fully charged (I actually take it out and take to Knecht's where they charge it for me) it still wouldn't start. And the car usually made clicking noises when I would turn over the key when battery was dead, but this time there is nothing. Everything seems to be totally dead. I can't get into the trunk, can't get it pushed out of the carport cause you can't get it out of park to be able to roll it, plus you can't get the key out of the ignition when the battery is dead. I had an appt to take this car in today to trade it in from the place I purchased it and now I can't even keep my appt. I am so totally sick of this problem.
They always tell me this car is not meant to just sit there, that it has to be driven and if not to unhook the cables. I am a 66 yr old caregiver for my husband with alzheimers and I don't have time to go through this. I cannot believe you have to use your car every day to keep the battery charged. And where I live it's never over 5 to 10 mins to get anywhere. After searching on this site I find there are many out there with the same problem, and who have been told the same as me. What if I had to take a trip and leave it at the airport. Would I come back and always have a dead battery? This is bullshit.
