The contact owns a 2012 Fiat 500. The contact stated that when using the window switch for the window to close upward, the window would instead open farther and travel downward. When the window was engaged to be opened, the window would instead travel upward and close. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they advised the contact that the vehicle was built to operate in the manner in which it was. The manufacturer was contacted and they offered no assistance to the contact. The failure and current mileage was approximately 3,000.
