- Summary
- Flash: Engine Crank, No Start and/or Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Illumination This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with new software. Customers may complain of an intermittent crank, no start condition. The customer may also indicate the engine sounds like it is freewheeling or has no compression. When this issue occurs, it is typically resolved with a simple ignition key cycle. A small number of customers may also experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the Technician may find that the following Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) has been set: ? P2299 - Brake Pedal Position/ Accelerator Pedal Position Incompatible
