Premature Ball Joint Wear
2012 Fiat 500
This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Fiat dealer.
CarComplaints.com Notes: Considering sales numbers and data that monitors complaints-per-make, there appears to be an unusually high number of issues with the 2012 Fiat 500. Perhaps that isn't surprising -- it is the first model year of the car, and those tend to have a higher incidence rate.
Of particular concern is the number of engine and powertrain complaints submitted to NHTSA.

I'm extremely disappointed in the Fiat Dealership, horrible service. Every auto related individual who has looked at my car and saw the extend of the part the broke can clearly see what needs to be fixed and replaced. Instead the dealer wants to place blame or state non sense which is a waste of everyone's time.
This is the second major problem with the dealership; last year I brought my car in because rust spots were on my back hatch. The service manager actually told me that I was not opening my hatch correctly - true story. Stated that the hatch was vibrating and rubbing, which caused the rust - bunch of garbage. I had two other collision shops look at it and there was no rubbing or vibrating. The dealer 'repaired' it, and no my hatch does not open and the rust is back and from their poor paint job I have two quarter size paint bubbles.
