Like the rest of my complaints, the date & mileage are estimates due to the fact that I'm at work, do not have my service records in front of me, and trying to warn the rest of you to NOT BUY A DODGE STRATUS!!! My car started sounding like a stock car and slowly got worse. Asked the dealer to look at it during a routine oil change. He told me the header was cracked and said we'd have to 1)replace the whole catalytic converter or 2)weld the crack for a temporary repair. AND, You'll love this!, it wasnt' covered by our extended warranty because it was a part of the exhaust system (not the engine).
We opted to have it welded by our mechanic because the dealer's quote was outrageous. The noise issue was corrected until the dealer pulled the engine out. Now the noise AND a rattle are driving me crazy. I've made an appointment June 1st to have this looked at (AGAIN). Good luck to the silly people who buy a Dodge car!
