The problem began with the fan only operating on the highest setting. It was summer, and the AC worked great... in fact, a litte TOO well at times and ice cold air blowing full blast is great for a few minutes when you first get in the car, but when you drive 35 miles one way to work every day, it's a bit odd when it's 97 degrees and you've got frost on the inside of your windows and icicles hanging off your nose. My husband FINALLY (after much complaining - he has another term for it...) got up under the dash and did something magical and got it working properly again.
THEN, the winter came and all was well until one day, I noticed that my nice toasty warm car was suddenly freezing and the heater was on. This problem continued with first heat, then cold. Some days the heat is going for longer, other days not so much. This time, my hubby's fix it plan hasn't worked so well... need some help quick as the winter is approaching!
